Modelling development
System modelling is used extensively at Topsoe Fuel Cell in the development of systems and stack technology. For this purpose Topsoe Fuel Cell has developed detailed stack performance computer models, which are integrated with an advanced process simulation tool.
Topsoe Fuel Cell also uses advanced reactor models in the development of fuel processing technology.
Why system modelling?
System and stack performance modelling is used for a number of purposes:
- identification of optimum operating conditions and system configurations
- identification of development target for stack technology leading to superior performance
- analysis of test results providing feedback to system and stack design
The modelling capabilities of Topsoe Fuel Cell provide a powerful tool for collaboration with partners and suppliers.
How is system modelling performed?
System and stack modelling is performed in a professional engineering environment developed by Haldor Topsoe for the design of industrial plants and development of catalysts and reactor design.
Component analysis and dynamic simulations are carried out using other engineering tools.
