Integrating all components

The Topsoe PowerCore™ integrates all SOFC-specific hot components, making system integration more simple for the appliance integrator. The commercial appliance is marketed by the system integrator.

Topsoe Fuel Cell produces Topsoe PowerCores™ for the following three segments:

Micro combined heat and power (Micro CHP)

Micro CHP is suitable for residential applications, supplying heat and power for households.

The Topsoe PowerCore™ for micro CHP applications is designed for systems with an output of 1 kW. This means that the Topsoe PowerCore™ can supply the major part of the electricity for a typical household.

Distributed generation

The Topsoe PowerCore™ for distributed generation may be used for example in hospitals, shopping malls, in apartment buildings and in areas with low power capacity.

Auxillary Power Unit (APU)

The Topsoe PowerCore™ for APU applications is designed for power generation for instance in long haul trucks, recreational vehicles and yachts.
