Stacking fuel cells

A stack consists of a number of fuel cells connected into one unit in order to supply sufficient power for actual use - for instance in micro combined heat and power units or auxiliary power units in trucks.

The stack also contains:

• interconnects
• sealings
• end plates

Focused research has enabled Topsoe Fuel Cell to develop very robust stacks with long lifetime.
